Navajo/ Zuni Artisan- ALBERT JAKE- Well Designed- Vintage Revival-Sterling Orange Spiny Oyster Pendant-(Beads Sold Separate)
This impressively made pendant was made by the hands of Navajo/Zuni artisan Albert Jake.If your not familiar with this Al's work, you are in for a real treat! He is personally one of my favorite artists when it comes to perfectly made,Native American jewelry & you will NEVER go wrong with anything made by him..Sloppy,quickly made jewelry is not in this guys vocabulary!
Made with the perfect balance between metal & shell,Al used the shape of the vibrantly orange oval cut as the pivot point & then doing what he does best, was to create some phenomenal sterling work around it.It's obvious the shell's cut came 1st for the design & the sterling came 2nd,where he built the sterling design with all hand made appliques & beading that are used to enlarge the design & help create more statement to the pendant.
Al's use of 'form & balance' is witnessed throughout, with everything in the design,in align with each other. The design is very traditional & has a undeniable Navajo look.
This has a nice weight to it that feels nice & solid & durable & not weak & flimsy feeling..

THE BALE:
Made in a corrugated tapered style, the pendant is shown with Navajo "Marilyn Platero's hand finished 8 mm-18" Navajo Pearl beads(Can be found in my listings),but with the bales just over 1/2" opening, can be worn with a larger milimeter size bead that's NO MORE than a 12 mm bead size so the pendant can 'move & breathe' while on the beads.
THERE IS NO APPLIED TAX TO ANY & ALL OUT OF STATE SHIPMENTS

I am not a professional photographer, but I do try to do my best at giving you accuracy in color.Even though this is vivid & vibrant,I do want to mention that when photographing oranges, they (or warmer toned pieces) can come up much more vibrant & seriously saturated,so please take this into consideration.(I had to actually take the saturation down a bit!)

In order to give lose up photos & provide you with all the detail, pictures can tend to make the item look much more larger & more magnified than in actuality.Everything is enlarged..Close up's can make the item look even larger & then you get it in hand & you say to yourself, "it's much smaller than how it looked in the photos!" So to get a accurate idea of how big this is,please pull out a tape measure & compare to my given measurements.
