Southwestern Artisan- JOE EBY- Artistically Hand Tooled Sterling / Turquoise (Lone Mountain?) Butterfly Pin -2-7/8"- Pre Owned
This came from a Santa Fe collector who was downsizing on pieces she's had in her collection, with this being a piece she didn't wear enough to validate keeping it. She said she had it, she believed, for a few decades & got it here in Santa Fe at one of our stores on the Plaza.
Known throughout the southwest for his old style tooled sterling butterfly's, this charming large size piece is made by the hands of southwest artisan "Joe Eby".
It's made of non bendable gauge sterling where he then hand stamps all the detail. It is accented by a free form oval like cut of teal colored turquoise that looks like it could be Lone Mountain(?)that sits low in it's bezel housing. Large antennas are made with twisted wire.
This beautifully designed pin can be beautifully display on a hat,a shawl, a purse, any outer jacket,blazer,shirt or blouse, tie ,you name it! I do want to mention that the buyer should use good judgement however when pinning it to any delicate type fabrics.
