The tropical Quetzal bird is considered one if the most beautiful in the world..Found in Chiapas, Guatemala & many other southern Mexico,central American locations,this bird has a tail longer than it’s body!It is the country bird of Guatamala.

Everything about this piece is identifiable to Mexico & to wear this would show great love for the country & all it is known for!

This piece is displayed in a good size when worn as a pin or a pendant & is designed with the Quetzal’s body hugging & following the form of the center heart.

It is a versatile piece that can be put on a coat,hat,lighter weight fabric purse,etc. or worn as a pendant on a strand of oxidized sterling Navajo Pearls or on a strand of colored stone.If you zoom in on photos,you will see that the hook has a 'locking mechanism' that stays shut for security.

This is shown with a 8 mm strand but can be attached as a pendant of a larger size bead,as long as the beads are not strung so tightly,since you need the separation to hang it on.
