FEDERICO JIMENEZ -Hand Cut / Shaped Mosaic Inlay -LAPIS "Aztec Feather Headdress" Contemporary Sterling Mexican Necklace- Strong Hinge Design-18.50"

Sale Price:$4,500.00 Original Price:$5,000.00

DESCRIPTION:

This has to be the one of the most impressive & somewhat more architecturally designed necklaces that I carry & that which emulates an "Aztec Feather Headdress". The process of planning and designing such a structure that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, was the whole thought behind the making of it. Also, to make something this technical, one would have to have been making jewelry a long time to do this type of work, which not only takes skill & years of experience to do this sort of construction, but it also takes an analytical, mathematical mind to cut each & every piece to fit exactly in the shape of each one of the panels..

Having somewhat of an "armor" sort of feel that sits high on the neck, this is made with hand shaped cuts of Lapis that are carefully cut to fit, as they lay 'flush' around the sterling design. There are 7 panels per side, with the design on left side, being the same in design, as on the right side. The patterns vary from some having a vertical pattern to others having a horizontally laid pattern. The center piece is made in a tri-sectional layered design & is what emulates the "Aztec Feather Headdress" , which gives it, it's contemporary Mexican vibe!

It is made with a generous amount of heavy gauge sterling, so you will feel this one on the neckline! (see weights below) Each are constructed & connected by hinges, so if you travel, this will fold up nicely.

This is definitely a true 'showpiece' necklace that is ultra sophisticated and can be worn to any high end events, dinners, cruise vacations, etc. or anytime you want to leave an lasting impression!

**Because of the sterling's contemporary-mirrored polished finishing, any colors you see in the necklace are coming from colors in the room while photographing it**

PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:

*****I do not consider myself a 'professional photographer" but I do try to give you photos that are 'realistic" in color, just so you're not shocked, nor disappointed when you get the piece. Although 99.5% of the time I am told that the stones look better in person, you still have to take the monitor you're looking at the item with into consideration. So the color you see on your screen may not reflect the actual stone color due to this variation.
