THE RAINCLOUD SYMBOL:
Rain and clouds are often featured in Zuni art, as rain is vital and very much needed in the desert. Being that corn is a sacred plant to the Native people, the corn cannot grow without the necessary rain to feed the corn. The Rain Cloud symbol also represents "Protection".
EARRINGS:
Perfectly made with highly skilled lapidarian hands, these aren't just another pair of turquoise earrings, but are actually made with symbolic meaning. While on the 2nd tier of the earring symbolize the rainclouds, it's on the 3rd tier & the dangles that represent the rain. They are made in a 'flush channel inlay',where each & every cut of Sleeping Beauty turquoise were cut so precisely so they can sit flawlessly in between the bars of sterling. I am literally in love with the dangles which hang from sterling wire & are cut in rectangular shapes!
Even though they are on the longer side, the weight is not bad on these! (See weights below for you to decide)

PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:
I do not consider myself a 'professional photographer" but I do try my hardest to give you photos that are 'realistic" in color, just so you're not shocked, nor disappointed when you get the piece. Realize however that all monitors are different, so the materials can look brighter (or duller) from one computer to the next. If you need more photos, in different areas of lighting, please let me know! *****
To give you close up photos to provide all the detail ,pictures can tend to make the item look much larger & everything is more magnified than in actuality. To get an accurate measurement, you can either check out photo 2 or if you have a tape measure on hand, you can compare it to my given measurements.
