Vintage 1950's Taxco- Well Executed Sterling Panel "V" Bracelet by "JJ" with Safety Chain- 5/8" Width
Vintage 1950's Taxco- Well Executed Sterling Panel "V" Bracelet by "JJ" with Safety Chain- 5/8" Width
This is designed with "Timeless/Classic/Contemporary" appeal & unless you follow vintage Taxco jewelry design intensely, one may not be sure as to when it was designed. It's a design that can on forever & will never go out of style! And if it wasn't for the hallmark, one may wonder if it wasn't made recently!!
Not sure who "JJ" was in the vintage days of Taxco but there's a few things within this bracelet that tell me that they/he/she were not just "average" designers & why I say this is for 2 reasons..One is having a design number for one,(since more ‘reputable’ Tallers had/used them) & for another, generally your 'better' pieces had safety chains on them. But regardless,it is a well made piece & in wonderful vintage condition!
Because of the thickness of each "V" shaped panel, this has some weight to it..Each panel is held to the next with hidden pins which assure the workmanship stays clean & fluid.
Would be a great addition to any Mexican vintage jewelry collection & especially when worn with a black wardrobe & lots of sterling!
