ABOUT HAPPY PIASSO:

Born in '72 in Socorro,NM & was raised in Alamo,NM.. Happy has been making jewelry approximately half of her life & learned the traditional art of silversmithing from her husband "Rudy Willie" who she teams with.. Her husband Rudy is apart of the well known “Willie Family” with "Ronnie Willie" being just one of his brothers out of many siblings & many nephews & nieces that are also great artisans! (For example: Dakota, Cooper, Tawney Willie to name a few!) Happy is an artist that never strays from giving us traditional Navajo jewelry & is committed to this art that was passed on from their Navajo ancestors .

ABOUT THE TURQUOISE:

White Buffalo turquoise is considered "Rare" since there was only so much that came out of it's Nevada mine & is considered extremely valuable since the mine is practically depleted & seems to be getting scarce.

What makes this turquoise white, is for the fact that it lacks the heavy metal content of iron, copper, zinc that makes turquoise either blue or green. You will see the black chert characteristics which give it, it's character.

SIZING:

Sized for a man OR woman & is made for a larger size wrist that is "fleshy" & needs a wide gap opening to properly fit over the arm. (1.50") Just so you know, the gap has a lot to do with your arm size,(or wrist area) so the bigger the arm, the wider the gap should be. The skinnier your arm is, then you want to go with a smaller gap opening.

If you know how to adjust a cuff & feel confident enough to open the gap up a bit more, this can be done with this cuff, since there is only one stone (As opposed to a row cuff or cluster) and the sterling gauge is light enough to do this.. If you don't know how to do this, then I would take it to a reputable jeweler. But just know, that the only thing by doing this, will be to enlarge the gap to accommodate a more meaty wrist, so it can then go over the arm.. It does NOT change the 5-3/8" interior.
