ABOUT LARRY COOLEY TURQUOISE:

Many of you that follow me for my incredible Federico collection,may have heard the name Larry Cooley.The late Larry Cooley was known in the industry as the ‘go-to' turquoise guy’ that many artists would get all their best/their highest quality turquoise from,so they then would use them for their own jewelry designs...Larry was known for having such a vast collection of high grade/gem quality/premium turquoise out of most in the industry,with much of his collection being mined some 60+ years ago when all the mines were still opened & before they started treating..His collection not only comes natural,but being he knew what separates premium turquoise as opposed to junk turquoise,he didn't collect anything less than the best that was ever mined!

After Larry's passing,Federico was fortunate enough to get Larry's 'limited collection' & put these stones into some of his most incredibly designed pieces you'll ever see & once they're used up,they're gone..(See my Federico necklace,earrings,bracelet listings) Larry had a big reputation for his turquoise & all you had to do was say "Larry Cooley Turquoise" & that alone, said it all..

THE CUFF:

This has such an explosion of intoxicating greens that'll make you feel like you just gone to heaven & back! :-) And if you may be the lucky one that'll own this,just make sure your sitting down when you get it! You'll be wow'd over the color!This is the PERFECT example of just how gorgeous green Royston is!

What's so facinating about it, is for the fact that even though all the cuts come from the same mine,each have their own fingerprint identity/character that separates them from the next! Each have some amazing character & all are intense & so mesmerizing that it'll be hard to take your eyes off of it! Then to top it off,you have all those earthy to golden browns colors in there ,which truly makes it captivating to the eye!

Set atop of a HEFTY amount of sterling,are a cluster of free form cuts that aren't meant to match precisely in size from one to the next,but were hand picked for their orgasmic green color & for the mine from which they came. Based on the just under 2" tall huge center cut & all the chunky size clusters that surround it,is what dictates it's 3-1/2" width center.These stones in no way would be considered 'dainty' & each are bigger than what some wear in a single setting!(See all photos)

The cuff tapers as it nears the terminals & this is about the only place you see any of the sterling since the rest is covered by all the stones..The sterling at the terminals has a mirror polished finishing to it.

This is a breathtaking piece & if you love green over blue turquoise,this then will win your heart over!
