Born in '72 in Socorro, NM & was raised in Alamo, NM.. Happy has been making jewelry approximately half of her life & learned the art from her husband "Rudy Willie", who she teams with.. Her husband Rudy is apart of the well known “Willie Family”, who have all made a name in the industry & are all good, if not great, at what they do. . Rudy's brothers are "Ronnie, Lonnie ,sister "Melissa" to name just a few from this huge family of artists. Rudy's nieces/nephews are Shaminika Willie, Tawny Willie (Formally Cruz) Cooper Willie & Dakota Willie (Plus more!) You can see all these artists in my listings! Happy is an artist that never strays from giving us traditional looking jewelry & is committed to this look that was passed on from their Navajo ancestors .

ABOUT THE TURQUOISE:

In the hills of Kazakhstan sits the Golden Hills mine,where this turquoise is only mined in the winter month's during the freezing cold & snow.They cannot mine it it the summer due to the area flooding due to the conditions there.It is difficult to get because of the environment & the location.

Kazakhstan turquoise is one of the prettiest turquoise being mined & due to it's popularity, it's actually both Sonoran turquoise & Kazakhstan that are some of the highest in demand, when it comes to turquoise in today's market..We love our USA turquoise, but buyers just can't get enough of these 2 non-USA mines!

The blues this turquoise is known for,is for it's unique periwinkle color that has these wonderful undertones of lavender with brick color-reddish brown clay color matrix.It is truly unbelievable when it's in the sun!

DESCRIPTION:

Sitting pretty all by itself, is a fabulous cut that has all the characteristics that we love with this particular turquoise! Intermixed with it's beautiful brick colored matrix,are the true periwinkle colors that play a dominate role in the cut.

Helping to frame & accentuate the stone are little hand made star conchos that follow the stones shape in it's entirety..These are all hand made by Happy where we melted sterling into little beads & then stamped them to create the 'star' design. The face sits on a corrugated 1/4" shank & the sterling has a mirror finished look.
