A WORD ABOUT THE ARTIST:

There's a certain look that is found with the jewelry that comes out of the Gallup area & you can definitely see this geographical' s influence in Tyler's work. Now 32 years old & producing some of the hottest looking Navajo jewelry in today's market where he's built a name for himself that is now in high demand, Tyler could not escape the art of jewelry making since he happens to be the son of the late Navajo artist, "DEAN BROWN".. Dean taught the young Tyler the art of making traditional Navajo jewelry where he taught him 1st with earrings where he had him working with super light gauge 32 gauge sterling, so if there were many mistakes(Which there were!) it wouldn't be too, too costly.

Tyler comes from a long list of well known Navajo artists with just a few of his uncles being Hemerson Brown, Anthony Skeets & Lee Charley. His cousin is Mathew Charley & the late KIRK SMITH was a 2nd uncle.. He LOVES working with vivid colored materials & is always working on trying to come up with new ways to create different style cluster pieces, which are another favorite style that he loves making!

THE RING:

Precisely made with some of THE most beautiful colored deep dark Lapis, Tyler hand picked each stone for their evenly saturated color, size, shape.

It's obvious that the large size round square center was what dictated the overall shape of the ring, where he then used as a halo cluster of stones that surround it, to create it's realistic floral design. Lightly oxidized little beads of sterling alternate in between each cluster stone.

Made with an adjustable shank, the ring is presently set at a size 8-1/2 & would make an excellent middle or pointer finger ring because of it's size. If you need it a little larger, I can go up a 1/2 to a full size for you, but I prefer you take it to your reputable jeweler to go down in size, if needed.
