THE ADJUSTABLE BYPASS SHANK:

This is presently set at a size 8.5.. If you look at the backside last photo, you will see how the bypass is tightly closed, so to go down in size would throw how the shank sits and would overlap. So I would not recommend going down, but if you do need a larger size, this will only "Go Up" in size. If you do need to go up in size, these can comfortably go up no more than say 1 to 1-1/2 sizes from it's presently set size.(I can do this for you!)
