THE PENDANT:

Designed in Federico’s HUGE signature style-over the top size, this is a pendant that was made to get some attention! This was made with one of the biggest cuts of Pilot Mountain turquoise you’ll ever lay your eyes on & is so large, that it selfishly steals all the spotlight ! It is “Santa Fe/Texas HUGE”!

Asked for by name, Pilot Mountain turquoise is one of many that come out of Nevada & what you get with this particular turquoise are those earthy browns that are mixed with really pretty teal blue colors. The host rock can at times dominate the cut, depending on how the lapidarian decides to cut it & what they want to emphasize...This cut alone takes up about 2/3rds of the pendants total 5.25”length in size. Used as accents, the turquoise is framed by 5 cuts of orange spiny oyster shell, 8 mm round cuts of Tibetan turquoise & then at the bottom are the most gorgeous luminescent linear cuts of Abalone, which plays off of the colors of the other materials!

THE SHEPHERDS HOOK CONNECTION:

This will hook onto your favorite sterling bead necklace & comes with a shepherds hook that sits close to it’s base, but can be opened more so it can accommodate a larger size bead (If you don't work with metal, a reputable jeweler can easily open the hook up more with a pair of needle nose pliers) I do want to mention that this has just under a 5 ounce weight, so whatever you put it on, has to be strong to accommodate it's weight. To be in balance, this size will look best with a chunkier bead size. (This size does not look good with any skimpy type necklace) And lastly, from my professional opinion, I think this size pendant will look great with a 26” and longer length necklace ,since you want to pull this size pendant down away from the neckline.
