One thing that can’t be denied, is that this is a true conversation piece & definitely took an artistic/creative/visionary eye to see before hand, just what could come out of these shapes when you lay them all together!!!?? Who knew??

Except for it’s turquoise beaded eyes & mouth, this was designed with nothing but some of the industry’s most popular shells.. The colorful statuesque 4.75” tall figure is made up of different shaped chunky cuts of super vibrant orange Spiny Oyster shell & luminescent Abalone.. These materials were then laid out in a innovative design to emulate body parts & the figures attire.

Having a face that only a mother would love, this is made with a big round Spiny Oyster cut that’s about 1” in diameter. Above are linear shape Abalone cuts that either emulate hair “standing on end” (As if it’s ‘wowed’ by something??) or maybe even a headdress?? Round moonstone cuts sit on both sides. A large oval cut emulates the body & linear cuts mimic the arms & legs. One of the things I personally love about the design is his Abalone ‘heart” hands & his almost clown sized abalone shoes! All the material are bezel set on the same platform.(See backside last photo)

USING AS A PIN OR A PENDANT:

This can be worn as a pendant & or a pin. If you wear it as a pin, the one fabric I would not put this on, would be any lightweight, fragile material.

As a pendant, this will hook onto your favorite sterling bead necklace and even though the shepherds hook sits closely to the base, it can be opened more so it can accommodate a larger size bead (If you don't work with metal, a reputable jeweler can easily open the hook up more with a pair of needle nose pliers) I do want to mention that this has a 2.86 ounce weight, so whatever you put it on, has to be strong to accommodate it's weight.. In the mannequin photos, it is strung through a 9 mm beaded necklace. So without opening the hook, up to a 9 mm diameter bead will for sure go through the bale without touching the hook. From my professional opinion I think this size pendant looks great when dropped away from the neckline ,so what I would recommend would be a 22” to 28” necklace to keep both in balance (Michelle Jameson hand made Navajo Pearl Necklace can be found under the “Necklace” category)

This has a very comical positive, happy vibe & no doubt, it’ll put a smile on your face & strike up many conversations!!
