Federico is known for his "larger than life" designs & it's pieces such as this necklace that allow him to reign above the rest when it comes to creating these HUGE statement pieces! NO ONE does "Statement" like he does & if you love your jewelry to 'speak' & turn a few heads, then this is the designer you want.. He is not afraid to go "Over the Top" (and then some!)in order to create these lusciously BOLD pieces & this is actually why he is so sought after,since you just don't find artists doing it on the "Grandeur" level that he does!

THE NECKLACE:

Taking the biggest purple Spiny Oyster hearts that you can find & then creatively turning them into the wings of the majestic Butterfly, makes this necklace a fabulous piece of "wearable art"! (Not to mention a conversational necklace!) The necklace it self is HUGE,based on the size of each butterfly panel. There are 7 Butterfly sections that span 2-3/4" wide & that will line the lower neckline..The Butterflies abdomen are made with turquoise & everything is then bezel set atop of a massive amount of sterling, which gives this a generous weight! (Just short of ONE POUND! See weights below)

But because of the balanced design,personally I think it lays very comfortably on the neck. Leading to the closure are 5 panels that are made with the spiny oyster hearts & are soldered on the same sheet. The closure is a push in-pull out.

I think you can stop traffic with this necklace since it's large enough & says SO much in design!!
