A PERSONAL WORD:

To experience the work of this husband & wife's team effort, is to experience the meaning of what team work really is & the inspiration you get when you work well together, by feeding off of the others ideas, etc. Married for years, both Delbert & Torevia started out making jewelry like most Puebloan children do and that is by living in a home with family members who make traditional jewelry day & night.. With this couple, the work is dictated through communication, so while Torevia cuts, shapes, drills most all of the materials, it's Delbert who does all that beautiful finishing like beveling the material's, taking off the rough edges, etc. so that each is given a professionally finished clean look.. What I find extremely impressive, is that EVERYTHING is done by 'eye & feel', without the use of calipers for exact measuring!!

Their pieces can have a contemporary twist, but never stray far from their deeply rooted Ancestral Puebloan traditional techniques. They do some of the most artistically balanced work & I have to admit, there's not too much that I don't have them make me, that I don't get floored by when it's all said & done. They are an extremely traditional Kewa Puebloan family who live quietly & comfortably in the Kewa village, where they have their own farm, grow corn,( plus more!) raise cattle, sheep, pigs, peacocks, you name it!!!

In the last 3 photos are 3 more necklaces done in this same style..All are made with various materials.

PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:

*****I do not consider myself a 'professional photographer" but I do try to give you photos that are 'realistic" in color, just so you're not shocked, nor disappointed when you get the piece. Although 99.5% of the time I am told that the stones look better in person, you still have to take the monitor you're looking at the item with, into consideration. So the color you see on your screen may not reflect the actual stone color due to this variation. Please go through each photo to see any variation to get an idea. Whether it be your computer monitor or phone screen, the item can appear to be either more vivid (Or duller).

In order to give you close up photos so I can provide you with all the detail, photos can tend to make the item look much more larger & everything is more magnified than in actuality. So if you have a measuring tape, please pull it out & compare everything to the measurements I provided you with.
