These Puebloan Dove earrings are made exclusively for my store by the son of my long time Kewa Puebloan friend "JOLENE BIRD'". Charles learned this art from working close to his mother, who taught Charles to ”Look at everything as if it’s a mosaic subject”.. This is something that Jolene herself has made a career on, with going as far as creating a fully mosaic inlaid Gibson guitar, a mini Volkswagen beetle, chess sets, sunglasses, gourds, you name it! (See my presently stocked items by Jolene by putting her name in the search bar when on the front page of the website) And she also taught him to never feel limited, since nearly everything & anything can be mosaic inlaid!

THE EARRINGS:

One of my most popular earrings that are made by both Charles OR Jolene, these are made where he used just about every stone/shell known to Kewa Pueblo jewelry, so they are nice and colorful!! Starting from a larger rock/shell, Charles then hand cut and shaped all the materials so they can then be carefully mosaic inlaid atop of their backing.

They are a "Mirrored" earring where there's an actual right/left earring. Wear them how you like, but generally, women wear them with the face of the bird facing toward the face.

These would be a wonderful addition to any Kewa Collection and or Southwestern collection! Also the wonderful thing about wearing multi color jewelry,is for the fact that you can pull from any one of the colors in the design for your wardrobe selection!!

Because of the earrings having a tad bit of thickness,(About 6 mm (1/4") does add a little weight to the earring, so please pay attention to the weight in the photos before purchasing, since I do not accept returns for these reasons that I have laid out for you to read and see.
