I JUST FOUND OUT THAT WE LOST AN ANGEL AS OF MARCH 2021..ANDREA PASSED AWAY FROM AN UNKNOWN ILLNESS AT THE YOUNG AGE OF 42..SHE LEAVES BEHIND 2 CHILDREN & HER HUSBAND CARLOS..JUST LIKE THE ANGELS SHE PAINTED,I ALWAYS SAID THAT SHE WAS ONE HERSELF.SHE WAS AS BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AS SHE WAS OUT.I WILL TRULY MISS HER!

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
"Santera" Andrea Fresquez~Baros has been a "Folk Art & Traditional Retablo"artist here in New Mexico for over 20 years & resides in Espanola,NM,which is just north of Santa Fe..She learned the art mainly from Richard & Teresa Montoya,as well from her aunt"Edwina Fresquez" &  from her father~in law,who has been a long time Santero here in NM, almost all his life.

She is a Santera by day & a 'mariachi' trumpet player by night.She shows at Santa Fe's yearly event,"SPANISH MARKET" where she has won Best of Show awards..Her use of bold colors & keeping the traditional art alive,make her one of the best around(not to exclude her genuine kind heart)..

DESCRIPTION:
Andrea & I put our heads together, to create the same thing in a smaller/jewelry version that she puts into her wonderful wall hanging larger Retablos & now,you can wear a piece of Andrea's artwork!

These are a wearable art,pendant/earring matching set, that are all hand painted atop of hand cut pine wood with red flaming "Sacred Hearts" & painted with the most prettiest detail..The hearts have 5 beautifully detailed roses & a sword.The pendant  has a 38" long magenta colored ribbon,that is screwed into the wood & can be worn high or low,depending on your preference.She put a little "mood bead" in there that sits between the silver colored beads.The perimeters & backside are finalized with silver metallic color paint.
Because of the pine wood,they are light weight.Both the earrings & the Pendant are signed by artist..
