A WORD ABOUT FEDERICO:
Some of us associate Federico with his exquisite turquoise jewelry, while many others still associate him solely with his romantic Paloma jewelry that comes from his birthplace of Oaxaca & when ever they see "Love Bird" jewelry, there's only one name comes to mind & that is the name Federico.And it's his name that we give credit to for bringing this fabulously made/designed jewelry to an international forefront.

THE EARRINGS:
Art comes in a variety of facets & in jewelry, there is such a wide spectrum as to what an artist decides to use as their signature style. Some work in nothing but stone, while other's choose to do cluster stone work, while others show their artistic side without the use of stone & work only with sterling. These of course are the latter.

These are what you call "Metal Art" where the heart & "doves in flight" are works of art that are tooled throughout to create a painted picture, so to speak. Used to make these, was sterling sheet that was then tooled to create all the realistic detail you see that turn them into artisan made "wearable art for the ears"! See photos 4 & 5) Not only are these artistically created, but have a very romantic aesthetic that always seem to dominate Oaxaca jewelry designs. Hanging at the bottom is a cut of amber that is held in by a cone of sterling.They are a "Mirrored" earring,meaning there's an actual right & left side & women normally wear the earrings where the Paloma's are facing toward the face.(See photos)
