Traditional Navajo Artisan-EUGENE CHARLEY-Triangular Shape-Repousse Concho-Matte Oxidized Sterling Earrings- 4" Long & Light!
Eugene Charley is a traditional Navajo artist that stays close to his Navajo roots without straying far away. These very Navajo looking earrings represent a good example of the type of work you'll find him doing, where there's no 2nd guessing as to what tribe made them! They have “Navajo” written all over them!
The earrings were made with a 'repousse' technique that not all artists. can do & is a technique where you have to have a good eye, a mathematical mind & be very precise when you go to pound the metal, since repousse is pounded from the 'backside' of the metal in order to get the lift in the front. One tiny little mistake can mess the whole design up & unfortunately would have to be scraped. But as you can see, these were made with skilled hands by someone who definitely knows what they're doing!
The finishing is phenomenal & has this gorgeous colored grey from being oxidized with a matte satin finishing & will allow these to pair beautifully with any Native jewelry with this same finishing.. They may be on the longer side in length, but because of the gauge of sterling Eugene used, makes these very wearable in weight! (See weights below)
Will look great with some faded jeans & boots, but with these you can also turn around & transition into the evening & dress them up with your sexiest outfit for a more elegant southwestern look!

In order to give you close up photos so I can provide you with all the detail, photos can tend to make the item look much more larger & everything is more magnified & exaggerated than in actuality. Close up's make the item look so large & then you get it in hand & you are shocked since the item is much smaller than how they looked in the photos..So to get an accurate idea of how big these are, please zoom in on photo 2 or you can pull out a tape measure & compare to my given measurements.
