ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Originally from Oaxaca Mexico,Federico's life has been filled with numerous blessings..A man who has always been lead by his strong instincts,life was good when he came to the USA,but it was in the 70's when he learned that a position he was planning on getting in the US, didn't happen. Being the visionary man he is,he saw opportunity while seeing people selling their goods at the LA flea Market & always having been a avid collector of historical pieces of jewelry & textiles, (with the focus on Mexico,the Colonial era,as well as Native American arts) Federico set up booth & brought with him a small amount of Oaxaca Filigree jewelry & old Native American pieces with him on that 1st day at the market when he realized he was on to something,because when the day was done, he left with everything that he brought,being sold..

CHER was one of Federico's 1st customers that weekend, back when she was wearing squash blossom necklaces,concho belts,etc.& pretty much bought him out! The rest is history & since then,celebrities have been thirsty to get their hands on anything with his name attached!

He was the one who played a major role in bringing from his birthplace this intricately made filigree jewelry to the USA so it could be presented to a much wider audience.. Because of Federico,Oaxaca jewelry is finally being appreciated as a historical art form..It has become so chic & fashionable to wear & no longer are women only wearing these traditional Oaxaca styles when wearing their Mexican textile clothing, but rather you'll find women wearing this style of jewelry in practically every major urban city with a variety of wardrobes wearing this style now.

THE EARRINGS:
Federico brings his love of traditional style Oaxaca jewelry but with that added touch of the southwest! Having a very romantic feel,these have an abundant amount of love written all over them,which is why many will choose to wear these as a wedding earring!

To be made properly & precisely ,these are made with time consuming techniques by one of Federico's finest Oaxaca artisan friends..To see that the doves are finely detailed & the filigree wire is perfect in form,they're not an earring that can be made in a matter of an hour or two..

Anchored from a domed repousse floral top is the large size filigree heart drop in which the palomas lay atop of & face inward to a "heart of love" that dangles in the center.The filigree on the perimeter acts as the anchor for the turquoise dangles.

Based on the filigree being very lacy & made with a light gauge sterling wire allows these to be very wearable,while offering a fantastic look that can dress up any Mexican wardrobe, to any western wardrobe, to wearing them with your sexiest black dress!
