Displaying a beautifully balanced form, with an unimaginable vivid blue color, these earrings are made with choice cuts that came from the now closed Arizona Sleeping Beauty mine. Now closed for roughly 4 or so years now, these stones were actually mined decades ago before the mine became depleted & while there was still some top notch quality rocks still coming out of the mine.Its not easy to get this quality any longer, unless you want to pay top dollar per carat & that's if you can find it.The cuts came from Larry Cooley's limited turquoise collection & to learn more about Larry , you can click on his name in just about every category to learn more about him & his phenomenal turquoise collection.
These are are designed with 2 forms which is made solely of 2 different cuts ,with the tops being a round floral cluster, which then act as an anchor for the long cross.. The tops are designed with mainly tear drop shape cuts, whereas the 2-1/2" long cross drop is made mainly of square 'tile' cuts and then on both left/right -north/south ends have tear drop cuts.
Unlike many of Federico's earrings that can have some serious weight to them since he uses a generous portions of sterling/stone ,these actually are fairly light & are not bad at all on the ears. But you can decide for yourself by reading the 'combined weights' below..
