Ella Peter is a artist who is considered a 'Master" Navajo silversmith.. She specializes in cluster work, which not all jewelers take a thrill doing, since it can be tedious & extremely time consuming, but when you love what you do, you don't think about those things. It is obvious in her jewelry that doing the cleanest work,' is important to her. She takes her art seriously & will give you nothing but the best, no matter the price, no matter the size.. She was taught by her father,who also taught the young Ella how to weave. She is a New Mexico native & calls Mentmore, NM her home.

THE EARRINGS:

Using only the finest Sonoran Rose turquoise, these can't help but bring out any eye color & can have your whole facial area glowing!! The color is staggering, dynamic & have the 'ultimate' vivid blue color that's truly breathtaking!! These may be on the smaller side for a southwestern earring, but the quality & color of the turquoise overrides their size!

While the small round cuts sit low in a scallop bezel, the top & larger center stones sit above the bezel since those cuts are more domed. The sterling has beautiful grey color because of their satin finishing & does nothing but bring out the blue in the turquoise!

A PERSONAL WORD:

Pricing is dictated not only by the artist, but the quality of the stones being used & just like any stone, whether it's diamonds or emeralds there are 'grades" with some being high, whereas other are low. It's the same with turquoise..Higher grades go for more per carat & then you add the 'amount'' of carats. The higher the grade, the more carat weight, the more something costs. Availability plays a factor & of course sterling cost & the artists time which are all then reflected in the price.. Remember you pay for what you get in the jewelry business! **
