A PERSONAL WORD:

When Federico came to the USA from his birthplace of Oaxaca in the 1960's,it wasn't till the 1970's however, that he got a 'calling' to show his phenomenal collection where he set up shop at the LA flea Market, where he brought with him the intricately made-romantic Oaxaca jewelry that is a "signature style' to his birthplace so it could be presented to a much wider audience.. Having been a collector of antiquities since a early age, he also brought with him all his vintage Native made jewelry/artifacts that he had been collecting for decades. At that time, CHER happened to be one of his 1st major customers which was at the time when Cher was flaunting some of the best Native pieces during the 70's... As Federico's popularity grew, so did his "Elite" celebrity base, who to this day, are still thirsty for anything that bares his name. And because of him, Oaxaca jewelry is now highly sought after as a historical art form. As of today, he has been honored with many top awards for his contribution to the country he calls home & is recognized throughout Mexico for his amazing collection, as well as globally.

THE EARRINGS:

Traditionally made with nothing but the beauty of sterling, these impeccably made 'metal art' earrings are creatively made where "Love" dominates the entire earring. Made in a 3 tier drop, where each tier's theme was 1st cut by hand & then one by one, the sterling is given all the tooled detailing so they have a 'realistic" look. On the earrings 3rd tier, the flower is domed by using a repousse technique, while each petal is accentuated then by hand tooling all the fine detailing...A little cup like flower sits in the center. The flower is framed by filigree wire, which not only gives these their undeniable Oaxaca look, but is there as an anchor to hold all the little cascabel dangles to securely hang from. Both may on the longer side, but are wearable in weight !(See weights below)

The beauty of having an all sterling earring, is for the fact that you can wear them literally with ANYTHING! Whether you're doing a day of all sterling or need something that you can pair when you're wearing colored stone jewelry! They make a great 'go-to' Oaxaca earring!

** If you like this style but would rather have a little color in them, then you need to check out this same style I carry with colored stone! You can find them by going to the "Earrings 1 & Earrings 4" categories & then either click on "Federico" or "Mexican Jewelry".
