THE CUFF:
All I can say is "WOW!!!! What these cuff's have going for them, is the intensity when these heavily saturated colored stones are place next to one another! They give them a look like no other!
They are both the same in design, but the things that makes them different between the 2, is the one with the Spiny Oyster accents have a cut of Sonoran Mountain, where as the cuff with the Italian coral has a cut of Sonoran Gold. Both have intermixing colors of both green & blue which give them a polychromatic look. The greens are intense & the blues are equally intense! In other words, one color is not duller than the other.
Draped off the sides of the shank is a "Peyote Bird" appliqué that then is soldered atop of a fully tooled darkened shank. The "Peyote Bird" is referred to as the "Thunderbird" or as some call it, the "Water Bird. It symbolizes renewal of life, distant vision and wisdom, along with the cleansing qualities of lightning and thunder. It is very sacred in Native American lore.
The darkened finishing gives these a 'Chiaroscuro/Vintage Revival' sort of contrast, with wonderful light/dark contrasting. They are both given the right balance of oxidation that really brings out the stone's colors even more so & each compliment the other! This finishing also helps to accentuate the wonderful tooling that Al did throughout!
Al's cuff's are a tad heavier now since he's changed the gauge he's working to a 10 gauge which makes them a bit more durable, but are not as easily adjustable, because of this.

WRIST SIZE:
These are both made for a smaller sized wrist & with their 1" & 1-1/8" gap opening, you'll find they'll accommodate a "less fleshy-small boned" wrist size. Cuffs fit different than any other type bracelet & it's of extreme importance they fit right! (Please click on this link to see if this will fit: How To Fit A Cuff. PLEASE READ:
*****I do not consider myself a 'professional photographer" but I do try to give you photos that are 'realistic" in color, just so you're not shocked, nor disappointed when you get the piece. I find photographing anything with 'yellow' in it, (orange, & green in particular) can come up a little more vivid & I actually had to bring the saturation down in the editing, so they are close to being true in color.
