Navajo/Zuni artist Al Jake is considered a 'Veteran-Seasoned' artisan whose work is high in demand & has paid his dues, since he's been at this now for decades. Having carried his work for years now, I can personally say that I have never, ever witnessed a bad piece of jewelry that has his name attached!

THE CUFF:
They'll be 2 things alone that you'll notice when you get this in hand, one is for the almost shocking, ultra GORGEOUS over the top color turquoise it has & the other is it's weight! (and especially for it's size )

Personally speaking, when you get your hands on 'finer' grades of Sonoran Gold that have both mesmerizing greens & blues like these, it can be hard to take your eyes off of them!! They are what are considered "Polychrome" turquoise.

These 3 fabulously picked cuts, sit atop of an old school style twisted wire shank, where there's 4 twisted wires & a smooth square wire that lays down the center. What gives this the weight it has, is for the gauge that Al now uses, which is a heftier 12 gauge sterling. Used as accents, are graduating in size, hand stamped conchos, with a smaller bead at the end. If you zoom in on the last photo,you will notice the terminals are reinforced with sheet sterling, which give this area added strength.

THE FINISHING:
Emulating a look as if aged, the sterling is SO beautifully oxidized but has just enough lightness that brings this finishing over the top! It truly takes skill to know how much or how little & where to leave the oxidation in order to bring out not only the beauty of the sterling, but for accentuating any colored stones.

WRIST SIZE:

This is made for a small sized wrist that's on the small boned side. Having a 1" gap opening & just so you know, the gap has a lot to do with your arm size,(or wrist area) so the bigger the arm, the wider the gap should be. The skinnier your arm is, then you want to go with a smaller gap opening.

Cuff's are one of the only bracelets that HAVE to fit properly, so it's of extreme importance that you know your wrist size before purchasing.
