ABOUT THE ARTIST:
When Navajo Tsosie(Orville) White stepped out to go to work over 30 some years ago,it wasn't to make jewelry,but rather as a carpenter & a mechanic..It was his wife's influence however that turned him around & who was the influencing factor..No matter what he makes, Tsosie's work will always have that traditional Navajo look,with a vintage revival sort of appearance.
His use of form & balance between stone & metal is precise & you will be guaranteed a well made piece that will show all the time AND love he puts into each & every piece he makes,no matter how small or how big!!

THE CUFF:
Statement jewelry is always a great way to let the world know who you are,it's a piece that will stand out & immediately get you noticed. We that love our jewelry to be seen & felt, this is a cuff where EVERYTHING is on the generous side & I say that lightly! From the size of the Lapis, to the width of the cuff, to the gauge of the metal, there was no going light with any of it!
It is obvious that Tsosie chose the Lapis 1st,that then dictated all the design that is built around the stone.There are lots of different forms of hand made appliques that are used as accents outside the stone, which adds design to the already heavily designed cuff, where there's literally not a spot of bare sterling left! The Lapis itself is so big,that it sits just shy of the cuff's 1-3/4" width.
This is a weighty cuff & my guess is it's made with at least a 10 gauge sterling.. And if that doesn't mean anything to you, the lower the number, the heavier it is. It's definitely not one that can be adjusted & is so durable, that I have no doubt it won't last a lifetime!

WRIST SIZE:
This is made for a medium/large to large sized wrist that's on the wider side, but not so fleshy where you need a larger gap opening. This is made for one who needs needs a smaller gap size..(It's best to pull out a cuff that fit's well & measure) Cuffs fit different than any other type bracelet & it is important they fit right!
