TURQUOISE PROVENANCE:

The turquoise this is made with came from the 'LARRY COOLEY' 1950's-'60's mined turquoise collection..Larry was known in the industry as the ‘go-to' turquoise guy’ who was known for having THE biggest,the highest quality-the most incredible collection of premium turquoise out of anyone,so that when designers like Federico would come along to buy,he could use these gems for his own jewelry designs.

Federico & Larry were extremely close & were such good friends,so much so that before Larry passed,he requested that his huge & HIGHLY collectible collection of vintage mined turquoise be passed on to Federico because Larry knew that Federico was the best one who would put these stones to the best of their use. Federico of course, put these stones into some of his most incredibly designed pieces you'll ever see (This bracelet is just one example!) & once they're used up,they're gone..(See my Federico necklace,earrings,bracelet listings)

Larry had a big reputation for his turquoise & all you had to do was say "Larry Cooley Turquoise" & that alone, said it all..

THE BRACELET

One thing this isn't,is your 'average,everyday'turquoise bracelet that you see flooded all over the internet,nor one that you'll find in every gallery you walk into & actually, it's anything BUT that! There was only one made & this is it! It oozes 'southwest couture',while having a NYC 5th avenue appeal'!

All the way around this piece literally speaks volume with it's outstanding looking presence & I am honored to bring a bracelet of this magnitude! What this does have is an 'above average quality' in not only regards with being made with some of the finest natural turquoise,but the workmanship equally stands out in this piece..And because of coming from Larry's collection,the turquoise of course is of high quality.

This is designed in a bold, statement style that's made with a 14 panel-70 stone layout of mostly a Nevada "Sampler" choice of stones,but has a few cuts of Arizona Morenci in there.The turquoise comes from the top Nevada mines,which include Blue Gem,Pilot Mountain,Royston,Blue Diamond..The wonderful thing about having a 'sampler' piece is for the fact, that you're ensured maximum contrast throughout & will not be so 'uniform' in color.

It is made where theres a equal amount of both oval & round cuts that are then laid vertically in a 5 stone panel,which dictates it's statement style width.Each panel is then held together with heavy gauge 'o' rings,which makes it fold easily & makes it great for travel! The closure is apart of the design,where when you push down on the round turquoise cabochon it opens,when closed, it becomes apart of the design. (See photo 15 & 16)

FYI:

Link style bracelets fit differently than a cuff bracelet & even though this has a total length of 8",it is made for a medium to a large wrist size.Just be aware the larger you are,the more snug it will be & will stay more in the wrist area.To allow this to 'move & breathe',I personally would not recommend for a wrist greater than say a 7-3/4"..
