Navajo/Hopi Artist PHILANDER BEGAY "KOSHARE" Kachina Tufa Cast 925 Ring SZ 10-12
Navajo/Hopi Artist PHILANDER BEGAY "KOSHARE" Kachina Tufa Cast 925 Ring SZ 10-12
Created by award winner,Philander Begay.. Philander is a Navajo/Hopi mix & creates these wonderful Native ceremonial pieces inspired from his roots & he brings us right to the Native ceremonies, through the jewelry he creates!
With this ring he gives us his Hopi roots, where he created the summer "Koshare" Kachina clown, who gives wisdom & advise & pokes fun at unacceptable behavior..
The ring is literally one of a kind, since he casts in tufa stone & the tufa cannot be used twice. So each piece is special & is given it's own character & soul.
This is a hefty & very solid, durable ring.It is made for a large size finger & would be as handsome on a man's finger,as well as a larger size woman's finger.
Philander is extremely collectible & out does himself all the time, while getting better & better. He is the epitome of "Fine" Native American art.

***Even though this is a size 10-1/2,with these wider shank bands, they actually fit a slightly smaller size finger because of their wideness..So this would fit more on a size 9-1/2(?) or so,finger.(The best thing to do is take a ring that fits well & sit it on top of a paper measuring tape & measure side to side & against my **side to side measurements..Don't take the outside of the ring measurement, but the inside that sits against the finger**)***
