A PERSONAL WORD:
After having lost a highly skilled mosaic staff member to Covid a few years back, little did Federico know just how lucky he was when he found but yet another mosaic inlay lapidarian artist, that has some of the best impeccable skills that are far above average when it comes to precisely made, lapidary art & mosaic inlay work.. I have to admit, I loved the workmanship of the one who passed, but I am beyond impressed with this ones workmanship & he has actually become a real favorite of mine for this type of workmanship.. Every time I look at his work, I can't help but go on this 'workmanship' journey where you can witness his phenomenal mathematical & artistical skills that are so clearly obvious!

THE RING:

This ring is a piece of "wearable art" that leans toward being 'abstract'.. The figure is actually portrayed as a "Butterfly/Man" who is wearing a Chiefs feather headdress..Made of an exaggerated head of Spiny Oyster, long black hair made of Onyx which is actually tied back with a cut of white Mother of Pearl.(See photos) He is then designed with a narrowing abdomen, just like the butterfly!

Laid on the same sheet of sterling, are 7 linear shapes that graduate in size & which depict the butterfly wearing the feather "Chief" headdress. On the headdress, the materials are horizontally laid in a mosaic channel inlaid pattern. If you zoom in on the butterfly's facial profile, you'll see where he even has a nose & mouth that have been chiseled in! All these materials are carefully hand cut & shaped & each section is then set in their own bezel which is outlined with a twisted wire wrap.

Both rings are made the same exact way, but the only thing that changes from one ring to the other is the turquoise mine (Color) & their present size. Both the blue Sleeping Beauty & the green Carico Lake turquoise come natural & have not been treated & were cut down from the bigger rock.

This is totally up to you, but if you look at 3rd photo, you see that if you wear both rings together, not only do you get double the statement, but when worn together the butterfly portion forms not only a "Heart" ,but it’s outline emulates a "Butterfly!!! The rings are adjustable, so they would have to be adjusted to fit on your ring finger & pointer to get this result!!! I personally think the 2 look better together, but they do look great on their own!!

**Since they do have an adjustable bypass shank,I can increase these by no more than a size or so, but if you need to go smaller, this will be something you'll have to bring to your jeweler.**

Not to be confusing, but I want to mention that if you are interested in the matching green Carico Lake earrings that I have in stock, they can be found under the "Earrings 1" category. (See 2nd to last photo) Since I failed to take a photo of the green Carico Lake earrings on the ear, I had to use the photo of the blue Sleeping Beauty turquoise ones. They were the same exact size as the Carico Lake ones . (See last photo)

PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:

*****I do not consider myself a 'professional photographer" but I do try to give you photos that are 'realistic" in color, just so you're not shocked, nor disappointed when you get the piece. However, I do find photographing anything with 'yellow' in it, (orange, green) can come up a little more vivid than other colors,so please take this into consideration. Please know that all screen monitors are different, so the materials can look brighter (or duller) from one computer/phone to the next.

In order to give you close up photos so I can provide you with all the detail, can tend to make the item look much more larger & everything is more magnified than in actuality. .So to get an accurate idea of how big these are, please either check them out being worn on the finger to get a rough idea (photos 5 & 15) or you can pull out a tape measure & compare that to my given measurements.
