Vintage Circa 1980's-90's - Federico Jimenez - Worthy Grade -Natural Sleeping Beauty Turquoise Cluster Dangling Sterling Pin- With Natural Darkened Patina! 3.50"
This was an earlier piece of Federico's that was made some 30-40 years ago (Give or take) and was actually the other half to a pair of earrings, which was later made into a pin.
This caught my eye the minute I saw it and that was not only for it's beautifully balanced dangling cluster design, but the obvious quality of the Sleeping Beauty turquoise it's made with. The quality of these cuts are undeniably a higher grade, being that even after all these decades, they haven't changed color & are just as blue as the day it was made!
It's made in a 3-tiered design of beautifully cut ovals that are are domed and nicely beveled.. On the 2nd and 3rd tier, the smaller oval cuts dangle off of the left side/right side cuts. The pin has a natural darkened patina ,which will be left "AS IS" since I do not believe in cleaning vintage jewelry. The ''usable' portion of the pin is 1" (see 9th photo)
You can put this on a hat(male or female's),a fabric style purse, coat or on just about any fabric.(You can decide which fabric-and even though the pin is not that heavy in weight, I probably still would avoid any delicate fabrics, like silk)
**PLEASE TAKE NOTE:
What looks like a 'chip' in the center stone, is actually inherit to the turquoise and is not defective!
