ABOUT DENNIS:
There is a certain style/look when you refer jewelry to be "Santa Fe Style"..It's a style,a size,a look that you will not find everywhere & Dennis 'owns' the name in reference. There isn't anything that Santa Fe artist Dennis Hogan doesn't make that doesn't have a breathtaking look!! He's probably one of the most sought after Anglo artists whose work is much in demand.. His jewelry has a look like no other,with un~matched workmanship,where his jewelry is done the Old School way by doing 'ingot' sterling jewelry that is made by melting the sterling & then literally pounding the metal out to then 'hand forge' each piece.. Each are then given the most amazing look based on the hand finishing he gives each piece that produce the most beautiful,warm patina tones that have a look of the past.

His continued interest in the American West,while studying in Indiana,he followed his passion for Fine Art & moved to Abiquiu,NM..After having met another Santa Fe favorite "Charlie Favour" there,Dennis learned the lost art of leather work & jewelry & worked as Charlies apprentice before moving to Santa Fe,where he eventually started his own line of jewelry/leather..He is a 'one man show" & has developed into creating his own identifiable style. THE UNISEX PENDANT:
"Don't just look at the Stars, BE ONE!!"

Made of hand forged ingot sterling,this is apart of Dennis's STAR jewelry line. The plate itself has some weight,feeling nice& solid! You can visually see Dennis's work marks(hand pounded) on this portion while the star sits in the center.Even though the bales opening is just over having a 8 mm opening,I found a 6 mm actually fit through & was able to 'move & breathe' on the beads, whereas the 8 mm I had on hand, was too big for the bale.

What would also look great is by instead of pairing this with a sterling bead necklace,try a thick leather strand for a more western & very casual edge!
