THE ARTIST:
A northern New Mexico native from the Taos area, but presently residing in the Santa Fe area, Daniel has been in the jewelry business for years, but has been silversmithing for 10 of those. He is totally self taught & is inspired by all things "New Mexico/Southwestern".. What you're going to get from this artist, is a real sense of New Mexico artistry, with impeccable workmanship!

THE PENDANT:
I have to admit that Daniel being the proud New Mexican he is, this has to be one of the better looking (and biggest!!) Zia Crosses I have been able to offer! For those of you who reside in New Mexico or just love our cultural & very artsy state, when you wear a pendant like this, it'll be pretty obvious about how you feel about the state & the Zia symbol that represents us..The Zia cross is New Mexico & New Mexico is the Zia! It is our states symbol!

Anchored from a tapered bale, hangs a very durable & hefty feeling sterling cross that is made where Daniel used heavy gauge triangular wires for the Zia & then soldered to the top, he used only the finest Mediterranean Coral & a beautiful green cut of Sonoran Gold turquoise that lay in a cluster circular pattern.. The coral is a deep red & are very even in saturation & tonality. Alternating in between each cut of coral are flattened circular sterling disks.

It comes with the 24" Italian made sterling chain,but if you were to change it out, I do want to mention that the bale has about a 13 mm (1/2") opening & so for the pendant to move & breathe on a necklace, you don't want this to hang on anything greater than say a 12 mm or a 12.5 mm necklace. In other words, the diameter of the necklace should be smaller than the bale opening.
