ABOUT ‘SAMPLER’ TURQUOISE:

For those of you that follow Federico, you’ll know then that he is known for giving us jewelry that has ultimate contrast, since he’ll take just about every color, shape & size stone that’s available that come from various turquoise mines & then somehow miraculously, seems to make them all work beautifully together!!

With that said, this statuesque pendant was designed with a “Sampler Medley” (Or multifarious) of turquoise that was designed where all the stones share something in common, whether in color, the matrix colors, the shape or even just the mine itself. This is the beauty of using a “sampler turquoise,” since you get a little of this & a little of that, without being matchy-matchy perfect & since each mine produces various colors, you get all this wonderful contrast throughout! THE FIGURAL TURQUOISE PENDANT:

This ‘faceless’ chunky sized figure has overall tones of greens & teals going on throughout, where there are various tonal depths that go from light to dark.. Each of these stones speak for themselves since each have their own ‘One of a Kind’ character.

The large oval face is made with Kingman Turquoise & is framed with a cluster halo of various colored Tibetan turquoise. These round cuts are the only area of the pendant that has a uniform pattern where the cuts were hand picked to match perfectly in size & they range in color from lighter to deeper teals and from greens to browns.

The large trillion cut of SpiderwebHubei turquoise has some serious carat weight to it & acts as the body.. The somewhat abstract ‘arms’ are made of some ultra fabulous green Royston turquoise that are simply gorgeous in color! The arm on the left side in the photo (Right side when worn) is super chunky and at least 1/3rd (give or take) of the cut is raised above the bezel, whereas the other arm is more ‘flush’ with the bezel.. All the rectangular bottom cuts are made with not only some killer color BLUE GEM and Royston, but qualit,y as well!!

THE SHEPHERDS HOOK CONNECTION:

This will hook onto your favorite sterling bead necklace & comes with a shepherds hook that can be opened more so it can accommodate a larger size bead (If you don't work with metal, a reputable jeweler can easily open the hook up more with a pair of needle nose pliers) I do want to mention that this has over a 4 ounce weight, so whatever you put it on, has to be strong to accommodate it's weight, as well pairing it with a chunkier bead size to keep both in balance. .From my professional opinion, I think this size pendant will look fine with a 24” to 26” length necklace ,since you want to pull this size pendant down away from the neckline.
