Navajo VINCENT PLATERO Hand Stamped Santa Fe Style 925 "Sampler" Concho Belt
Navajo VINCENT PLATERO Hand Stamped Santa Fe Style 925 "Sampler" Concho Belt
There is nothing better, than having a Vincent Platero Concho Belt! He is one of the more higher "in demand",when it comes to that look of Santa Fe..
What you get from Vince,is not only this great finishing to the metal, but his heavy stampwork, that you hardly ever see with stone.Stampwork is a 'art form' that not everyone can do so accurately, since it takes precision,a steady hand & a good eye for the design to come out 'right' when you go to strike the hammer. His concho belts are literally like pieces of art while never creating 2 pieces alike..
Called a "Sampler" since it gives you a variation of the styles he makes. There are 2 heavily stamped crosses,2 hearts,2 rounds,2 squares & 1 oval & the buckle that make this belt.. Each shape concho is given it's own character & is given a scalloped perimeter with stamping that follows the shape. On some conchos, there is at least 7 stamps used to create the piece. The conchos used, are nice & thick & made of a durable,non-bendable gauge sterling. There are no holes punched in the leather,so the buyer can customize it to fit. This can be done by going to a shoe repair or buying a leather hole punch tool, from Michaels,Hobby Lobby,Tandys.
This is sure to complete any Cowgirl/Cowboy look!!!
