NECKLACE PROVENANCE:
This necklace came from a gentleman who purchased it at a Native American store in Galisteo NM (Santa Fe County) back in the mid-80's for his wife.

THE NECKLACE:
Mercury Dime necklaces will always be popular for their historical value & played such an important role to southwestern jewelry.. The necklace is made up of 33 old Mercury dime beads that make for 66 dimes in total & range in years from as early as 1935 to 1945, with many years in between . Soldering the 2 dimes together create a 15 mm diameter bead.`They are strung on sterling chain & the necklace is finalized with 4 graduating in size-bench beads & then capped off with 3" long hand made sterling cones.
Fabulous to wear on it's own or if you have a large bale pendant,you can slip that on! (As long as it has at least a 16 mm or so bale opening)
