DESCRIPTION:
Combining a traditional southwestern look with a more upscale contemporary southwestern aesthetic, this is what you would consider Santa Fe/Southwestern elegance that is designed in a "Crosses & Pearls" theme that is designed in a color palette of whites, clear & sterling silver...
This highly feminine necklace is made in a 3 strand, where each strand is pretty much all the same length.. Using a host of nothing but white materials, this is made with various fresh water pearls, white Jade, Mother of Pearl & Moonstone, that are then alternated with both faceted & non faceted Rock Crystal that give this a ton of SPARKLE!!! It's hard to capture all the sparkle that twinkles throughout in the photos, but when you get this in hand, your eyes may light up when you see just how much it sparkles when the light hits it!!!
The HUGE 6.25" cross is made by Navajo artisan "Dean Sandoval" who does 'Old School" Navajo jewelry & will always keep his work very traditional..The cross has a scalloped perimeter & all the hand tooled stamping follows the scalloped form. This is made with large oval cuts of Mabe Pearls that are then bezel set atop of heavy gauge sterling & is finished in a "Vintage Revival" style finishing. The Mabe pearls have hints of greens & pinks that are shown with movement. The doubled layered style all sterling crosses were made by the late "Dan Dodson" who was well known here in Santa Fe & unfortunately passed maybe 1-1/2 years ago.(See photo 7) The larger sterling crosses with the Mabe Pearls are Navajo made but not sure who the "R" hallmark belongs to. .If you zoom in on photo 6 you'll see where Kim doesn't do just a jump ring type bale to hold the larger charms/pendants,but actually makes her bales herself by using beads..This is made with pearl beads that allow them to hang on the strands.
It is given a 3" wearable extender,so you can add or eliminate length if you choose! A pearl bead & pearl cross drop is used at the end of the extender,so when your back is facing anyone, you have a beautiful drop from behind.
This would be a wonderful choice for a necklace if your getting married & especially for a southwestern style wedding! But this would also look beautiful when you're doing a day of pearl jewelry! Imagine this with an all white wardrobe & how elegant it would look! Even with black! Don't matter with this one!
Don’t forget to check out Kim’s Butterfly/Dragonfly Necklace I have listed!! I will also be listing a Guadalupe multi strand necklace! So watch for that!
