THE NECKLACE:

Oozing an ultra modern twist to Santa Fe/Southwestern jewelry, this heavily cluster Dragonfly necklace reaps of elegance, while showing the magnificent beauty of pearls.

Using round & naturally formed white baroque pearls throughout, the neckline is designed with a total amount of 12 flowerets panels that alternate with a single baroque pearl. (See especially photo 9) Each panel is hooked together by way of “O” jump rings, which allow it to fold whether it’s for travel & or storage.

The Dragonfly is made with both Baroque & “Biwa” pearls. The Biwa pearls act as the wings & tail of the Dragonfly. If you’re not familiar with the Biwa pearl,what they are, are an unusually shaped cultured pearl that come from the freshwater mussels found in Lake Biwa, Japan. Each have their own unique appearance and have a highly textured characteristic with no 2 being exactly the same & they’re the only pearl that has as much texture that they have. Each & every pearl is then set by hand with painstaking time & patience.

Typical of Federico’s jewelry, he uses a generous amount of materials,so theres quite a bit of sterling,as well as pearls in this.
