DESCRIPTION:

These are a all hand made authentic Oaxaca earring, that are made with lots of sparkle! They are designed with faceted beads that will sparkle in any light!

Built from scratch & taking more than a day to make,the base is made with extremely fine wire (Makes them light & wearable!) that acts as the housing for the line of sewn in colored beads that run horizontally..Encouraging more sparkle,Carlos does a technique called "Diamond cutting" to the sterling that acts as the border for the beads,to give a little 'diamond like' sparkle when the light hits the earring.

Each circular form at the bottom, are also built from scratch & is what the swishy & very generous amount of beads hang from.The dangles are wired in with sterling wire & are on there good.Carlos makes the molds at the top that form a flower & the pearls are sewn down into it(see photo)

These are a very attractive earring,(One of my favorites!) that give you a wonderful look of Oaxaca & at the same time being very wearable,which makes them great for everyday,anytime,anywhere..Wear these with any Mexican made clothing to designer,as well!

Filigree is time consuming & is becoming a lost art,because artists find it hard to get paid for all the time that goes into it..Time,rather than materials is what you are paying for..This is a 'art' to be appreciated & Carlos is a 'master' at it!

This style comes in Coral beads,Pearls,Lapis,Onyx..I also carry this style with a colored stone/pearl combination.
