I have stocked & sold just about everything Federico put out for a number of years now & have had some of what I thought were some of his biggest pieces I think I've ever seen.. I thought I've witnessed the biggest, had the most humongous, the most massively sized jewelry there was, that was UNTIL these earrings came along!!
Besides their massive size,the one thing that impresses me about these, is for the fact that the Spiny Oyster was SO precisely picked in not only size,but are so even in their color saturation! No where from cut to cut,is the color lighter, nor darker! This shell has many colors, where you'll get yellow/oranges, or rusty/oranges or even red/oranges,(This orange being the most in demand),but not these! The color is a very even orange throughout & it's almost unheard of to match this well, especially when you have an earring this big, with this many cuts to match so perfectly! Because of the precisely size trillion cuts & round cuts,is what contributes to their uniform look.
If you zoom in on photo 5,you'll see where their length extends to the length of a paper bill!! (6-1/4") So this would be a good way to get an idea of just how big & how long these are!! You will have no idea just how big these really are, till you get them in hand! I can't say this enough, but these are massively HUGE!!These would be like comparing a pebble to a big huge boulder!
