ABOUT LARRY COOLEY TURQUOISE:

The turquoise that this was made with, came from the late "Larry Cooley's" private collection. Mr. Cooley was one of the most reputably known turquoise vendors in the industry, who artists would go to when they wanted the highest quality turquoise for their own designs.. Since he was very knowledgeable, he knew what separated the junk from the premium grades & was committed to offering only the finest that each mine produced. He was a vendor who wouldn't dare offer turquoise to someone, that he himself, wouldn't want.

The turquoise he collected & sold, were qualities that only the finest of the finest "Turquoise Connoisseur's" would buy..He had a vast collection of nothing BUT the best of the best that were all natural, since his rocks were mined long before they started treating turquoise & had the best that each mine produced.

These cuts are old & are an excellent grade of natural turquoise, which is getting more & more difficult to find anymore, unless you're willing to pay top dollar per carat. That is if you can find any, since much has gone into private collectors hands & have become very valuable... After Larry's passing, everyone wanted dibs on his whole collection,(Which would be like hitting the lottery!) but because of Federico's long time connection with Larry & Larry's family, he was fortunate to purchase this 'once in a lifetime' limited & very pricy collection(This is reflected in price) So once these stones are used up, they're gone! THE EARRINGS:

Magnificently designed in a perfect 3 tier drop, these are made with some super vibrant blue turquoise! They are artistically made where there are various shaped cuts that dictate each tiers shape. The 1st & 2nd tier are designed with 2 different shaped ovals of blue Royston and then dictating the shape on the larger sized square drop, is a square cut of blue Royston, while the tiny "tile' cluster cuts of Sleeping Beauty turquoise act as a vibrant halo..No other turquoise gives us the vibrancy that Sleeping Beauty has & turquoise just doesn't come any bluer than these!

These are not your "everyday, can find them anywhere" type of turquoise earrings! They have an above average design with above average turquoise! They are a 'one of a kind' design that can only be found here at Plata de Santa Fe Jewelry where you get nothing but the finest that bares this man's name!

A NOTE:**In this business, you pay for what you get. And just like with any other gemstone, there are 'grades' with some being a lower grade which are less expensive, while others are high grade and are more expensive.. Turquoise is the same, with the cost being higher for 'natural turquoise' that have a "high/excellent" grade. I always say "look at the price" & that should give you some clue as to how good something is, especially in jewelry. Though I must note, that anything with Larry's turquoise will always come with a higher price tag, due to the quality & limited supply***
