“Angels are never to distant to hear you”

ABOUT THE CUZCO SCHOOL OF ART-16TH 18TH CENTURY STYLE PAINTINGS:

Designed for the culturally refined, art historian's with the focus on the Latin America's.This mestizo-baroque style art was made famous during the 16th-18th century Spanish Colonial era that emerged as the "Cuzco School of Art".

The Cuzco School Style influenced by their European teachers, this group of trained indigenous and mestizo artists tended to paint exclusively religious figures, but in bold dramatic colors of blues & reds, with lots of gold leaf.

If you were to walk through any Museum that has Spanish Colonial~Latin American paintings,or any fine art gallery that specializes in carrying 16th-18th century "Devotional Art" pieces from the Latin Americas,(with the focus on Cuzco Peru), these are the type of paintings you will find..

This traditional style of painting originated after the 1534 Spanish Conquest of the Inca Empire. These paintings came from the Spanish who tried to convert the Incas to Catholicism. These specific style of paintings are characterized by their exclusive use of religious images & has continued to this day in the same way as it did back then.

THE PURSE:

With this particular purse, not only will you be getting an impeccably made purse, with the finest attention to detail along with impeccable quality, but a exquisite hand painted piece of art!

The one of a kind-oil 10-1/2" x 13-1/4 "painting of "Michael the Archangel" is painted on a panel by a professional artist who studied under the masters of Cuzco,Peru & who was commissioned out by Kurtmen, who then proudly displayed the art on their fine Italian leather.. Drawn in a traditional Cuzco style,Michael is painted with a helmet, triple colored wings of golds, reds & navy & wears a cross made of gold. The colors drawn of Michael the Archangel have beautiful warm tones with burnt yellow, orange red undertones, with accenting gold metallic & teals,

If you pull up, any of my listed Cuzco totes, you will notice they are made where there's an extended area of leather on the east/west side of the bag, but what we did with this one, was to just display nothing but the art, top to bottom, left to right, so all you see is the ART!!

Between the painting & the leather, we decided to pair the painting with a color they call "Rust Dakota", which is a rich warm mahogany brown..This color choice of leather couldn't have been a better choice, when you see how beautifully paired the painting & leather look together! And then by adding the copper metallic stitching that's all along the border, really just pulls all the colors together!

The 1.50" wide strap is completely studded with bronze star studs in the strap's entirety & on each side of the strap,is also whip stitched with the copper metallic leather. The interior is red cloth lined & has one zipper & 2 open pockets to store whatever you need.

Crossbody bags are one of the 'safest' style purses to carry when you're traveling, out shopping, because you always know where it's at & is on your body at all times! It's also one of the best styles when you have kids & need you're hands/arms free!!

Having a purse like this, will say so much about who you are & your expressive love for Latin American art..NO one else will have this, since no 2 are alike!!! They are One of a Kind pieces of art! Like any fine piece of art, this requires respect, care & love!!
